Hiya! 👋
I'm Sam Strick, a game designer based in Seattle, and I'm currently open to work!

Most recently, I spent four years at Very Very Spaceship where I led feature design for Pokémon GO, served as lead game designer for Transformers: Heavy Metal, and directed an original IP title, MASSIVE.

I'm an innovative game designer with a knack for finding the fun in any medium or technology. I've spent the past 15 years building projection mapped playgrounds, esports platforms, and XR experiences, as well as tabletop, PC, mobile, and console games. 🔧

This website is a collection of professional and personal projects. It's not a complete list, but it'll give you a great idea about who I am, and what I'm interested in.

Here's a look at some of my previous professional experience! 💪

When I'm not working on games professionaly, I spend time making games and playful experiences at home. 💅

In order to stay sharp and improve my craft, I always design with goals and audiences in mind. Check out some of my personal projects, games, prototypes, and experiments. 👀

I spent 5 happy years designing and releasing board games in the early 2010's. Here are some released and unreleased games from back in the day that I particularly enjoyed working on! 🎲

I was the game designer and artist on each board game project below... except for the project with Jackbox Games, since their players are the artists. 😅

The next few projects are what I'd consider art, rather than design. They were made for fun, by yours truly. 🎨

I'm currently open to work. If you want to chat, feel free to reach out! 🎉
